Holmqvist assigned to ECHL's Pensacola Ice Pilots

The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenceman Andreas Holmqvist from Hamilton of the American Hockey League to Pensacola of the ECHL, Tampa Bay Executive Vice-President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced today.

Holmqvist, 22, was scoreless in four games with the Bulldogs this season. He was Tampa Bay's second round selection (61st overall) at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. The 6'4, 190 pound native of Stockholm, Sweden spent the last three seasons playing professionally in Sweden.

The Hamilton Bulldogs next action will take place on Friday, November 14th (7:00 p.m.) as they host the Toronto Roadrunners on 'Guy Lafleur Night' at Copps Coliseum.
