IceCaps Assign Chiarot to Eagles

The St. John's IceCaps today announced they have assigned defenceman Ben Chiarot to the Colorado Eagles.

Chiarot, 20, has played in 14 games with the IceCaps this season collecting two points (1g, 1a) and 19 penalty mninutes. The left-handed defenceman played four seasons in the OHL between Guelph, Sudbury and Saginaw.

The Hamilton, ON native was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the fourth round, 120th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
