IceCaps Acquire Mathieu Tousignant from Texas Stars

The St. John's IceCaps announced today they have acquired centre Mathieu Tousignant (mah-TYEW TOO-sihn-yeh) on loan from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

Tousignant, 23, has played in 18 games with Texas in 2012-13, collecting one goal and 10 penalty minutes. The St-Etienne-de-Lauzon, Quebec native has also played in 28 games with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL, recording four goals and 15 assists for 19 points to go along with 77 minutes in penalties.

For his career, Tousignant has suited up in 176 AHL games, all with the Texas Stars, notching 38 points (17G, 21A) and 224 penalty minutes.
