
Portland Pirates Acquire Troy Bodie on Loan from Norfolk, Sign Lucas Lessio to ATO

Portland, Maine - Phoenix Coyotes Assistant General Manager and Portland Pirates General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the Portland Pirates has acquired Right Winger Troy Bodie on loan from the Norfolk Admirals in exchange for future considerations
Bodie, a 6 foot 4, 213 pound native of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, was in his first year with the Norfolk Admirals. In 47 games with Norfolk this season, the 28 year old Bodie registered 4 goals and 8 assists to go with 111 penalty minutes. Bodie has played 107 games for the Anaheim Ducks and Carolina Hurricanes over his career, tallying 6 goals and 5 assists to go with 141 penalty minutes. In parts of 7 AHL seasons, Bodie has played in 301 games for 7 different clubs, registering 41 goals and 45 assists to go with 528 penalty minutes. Bodie was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 9th round (278th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
