Ice Releases 2003-2004 Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS, IN-- The Indianapolis Ice opens its 2003-2004 campaign on Saturday, October 18th when the team hosts the Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:00 p.m. from the Pepsi Coliseum. The team follows up the opening weekend with a pair of home games against the Fort Worth Brahmas on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th. Both games are slated for 7:00 p.m. from the Pepsi Coliseum.

Indianapolis will play a 64-game schedule with 27 of its 32 home games on the weekend. All games Monday-Saturday will take place at 7:00 p.m. while game times on the four Sunday dates will be 5:00 p.m.. The Ice will play its home games at the Pepsi Coliseum and Conseco Fieldhouse with the downtown dates to be determined at a later date.

Highlights this year include games on Halloween and Valentine's Day, in addition to the the traditional Thanksgiving Day match-up and six meetings with the defending CHL Champion Memphis RiverKings.

"I am happy that we were able to secure an ample amount of weekend dates that we can convert into evenings of quality hockey with our usual flair of added promotional excitement, " said Ice General Manager Larry Linde.

The 2003-2004 version of the CHL consists of 17 teams that will be split into two conferences and four divisions. The Ice remains in the Northeast Division of the Northern Conference and is joined by Shreveport (LA), Fort Worth and Memphis. The Northwest Division of the Northern Conference includes Oklahoma City, New Mexico, Tulsa, Wichita and a new team in Colorado.

Indianapolis Ice Season Ticket Packages are on sale now. Currently being offered are full season (32 games), 24-game, 16-game and other smaller packages. All packages come with a ticket discount, complimentary parking at the Pepsi Coliseum, guaranteed seat location, exchange dates for unused tickets and exclusive season ticket holder events with Indianapolis Ice players and coaches.
