Ice Flyers Develop Top Gun Referral Program

During the Town Hall Meeting the Ice Flyers hosted on August 29th, team President Chuck McCartney released the details of their new referral program for current season ticket holders called the Top Gun Program.

For current season ticket holders, they can attain Top Gun status by two different methods. First is to sell two full season ticket equivalents to friends, family and other acquaintances. This can be accomplished in any combination of full and half season tickets, and 7-Game Flex Packs (1/4 season). Second, the Ice Flyers have set a goal to donate the seats of 100 season tickets to the local military. To help the team reach this goal, season ticket holders and businesses can buy two full season tickets in any section, and those seats for each game will be donated by the Ice Flyers to the military. For those who utilize this second method, the Ice Flyers are offering a 7-month payment plan from September 2011 to March 2012 to help with the costs. All other packages purchased can be paid up front, or take advantage of the 4-month payment plan from September to December 2011.

Season ticket holders can also become Top Guns in a combination of both methods, as long as two full season equivalents are sold. For example, if you can only sell one full season equivalent, you can purchase a season ticket package to donate to the military, and be awarded Top Gun status.

The program has seen some early success as within 24 hours of the Town Hall Meeting, 10 season ticket packages have been sold for the Ice Flyers to donate to the military. There is a limited number of Top Guns awarded this season, so react soon to take part in this exclusive club.

On top of all the Wingman Benefits they already receive by purchasing a full or half season ticket, or a 7-Game Flex Pack, Top Guns will have exclusive benefits that can only come with Top Gun status. They will receive:

- 10% off coupon to purchase Wingman merchandise

- Chance to win a round of golf at Tiger Point Golf and Country Club with 2 players of your choice

- Exclusive autograph and picture session with the players after a game

- Recognition of your support in the Top Gun section of the website

The Ice Flyers have added an incentive to those who purchase season tickets via referral. If you buy Mid-Center Ice Season Tickets, you will receive a 40% OFF coupon to help start your Ice Flyers' merchandise collection. Buy Corner Season Tickets and receive a 30% OFF coupon, or buy End Zone Season Tickets and receive a 20% OFF coupon.

The Ice Flyers also have made two trades today. Head Coach Todd Gordon has acquired Defenseman Chris Pontes from the Knoxville Ice Bears in exchange for Forward Brett Liscomb. Gordon also has traded Forward Matt Whitehead to the Fayetteville FireAntz for Forward Mike Carter. Tomorrow, the Ice Flyers will have a full press release on both trades.
