Mississippi Surge News Release
Even though there was a strong football visibility, Mississippi Surge coach Jeff Bes made his presence known at the United Way of South Mississippi kick-off event Wednesday morning at the Hard Rock Casino Biloxi.
Bes joined other community leaders at the public opening of the United Way of South Mississippi's annual fund drive. The football style pep rally energized the volunteers about to begin the fund raising efforts.
"We had a very enthusiastic kick-off," Sue Suter, Chief Executive Officer of the United Way of South Mississippi said. "It was great to meet Jeff and see the Surge involved with the rest of the community to get this year's campaign off to a rousing start. We love the Mississippi Surge."
The Surge begins the season on October 20th at Augusta, and the home opener is Friday October 28 against Huntsville.
Season tickets for the 2011-12 Surge season are on sale now, with plans starting for less than $10 per game. For more information call the Surge at 228-287-PUCK (7825).
