Ice Flyers Change Scheduled Home Game for Another Event

August 31, 2011 - SPHL (SPHL)
Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release

In order to help accommodate another event that SMG Management and the Pensacola Civic Center hoped to schedule, the Pensacola Ice Flyers have happily agreed to move their home game on November 11, 2011.

The Mississippi Surge were originally scheduled to come to Pensacola to face the Ice Flyers on Friday, November 11th. This will now be an away game for the Ice Flyers, as they will travel to Biloxi, MS to play against the Surge. In turn, the Ice Flyers scheduled away game versus the Surge on Friday, December 30th will now take place in Pensacola. It is a simple swap of Friday night home games for the two teams that will both begin at 7:05 pm.

"We were notified a couple weeks ago that SMG and the Civic Center had another event lined up that would interfere with our November 11th home game. They asked us if it was possible to change the date of that game so that they could bring this event in. Without any hesitation, we agreed. Because after all, we are committed to doing our part to assist SMG, the Pensacola Civic Center, Escambia County and surrounding areas. If changing a home game to bring new acts, people and business to our community is what needs to take place, then we are more than happy to help," owner Tim Kerr added.

There has also been a change of game time for the Ice Flyers' away game versus the Louisiana Ice Gators on Wednesday, February 8th. Game time will now be 7:05 pm instead of the originally scheduled 10:00 am.

An updated schedule is now on the Ice Flyers' website at www.pensacolaiceflyers.com. Season ticket packages are available with low monthly payments and come with Wingman Benefits. See the website for more details or call the Ice Flyers office at 850-466-3111.
