Ice Dogs add offensive spark

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that forward Sean McAslan has agreed to terms for the 2005-2006 season. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 6'1", 192-pound native of Okotoks, Alberta played the last two seasons in the AHL with Edmonton and Toronto. In 127 AHL games, including one in Hamilton, he scored 18 goals, 20 assists and 127 penalty minutes. He played his first two professional seasons in the ECHL with the Columbus Cottonmouths, totaling 31 goals, 38 assists, and 271 penalty minutes. Prior to joining the Ice Dogs this season, McAslan will be attending the Cleveland Barons training camp.

"He's a big, strong, powerful forward who skates well and has tremendous experience", said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Malcolm Cameron. "We expect him to play a big leadership role and put up some excellent offensive numbers for us this season."

"I'm definitely excited about coming to play for Long Beach", said McAslan. "I've heard nothing but good things about the team and I'm just looking forward to getting the season started."
