Huxley Undergoes Successful Hand Surgery

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers, has announced that left wing Adam Huxley has undergone successful surgery on his hand (right ring finger) and has been placed on the 30-day injured reserve list.

Huxley is expected to miss approximately four to six weeks for rehabilitation.

Huxley, 23, has appeared in 61 games with the Thunder this season, scoring 10 points (1g-9a) while ranking third in the ECHL and leading the Thunder with 241 penalty minutes. The Wainwright, Alberta native has appeared in 160 career ECHL games in four ECHL seasons (2003-07) with the Thunder, Victoria Salmon Kings, Las Vegas Wranglers and Alaska Aces, scoring 32 points (11g-21) with 696 penalty minutes.

The Thunder returns to play with its regular season home finale against the Fresno Falcons on Wednesday, April 4, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Stockton Arena to celebrate "Fan Appreciation Night," presented by St. Joseph's Medical Center and KB Home.
