Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Brent McDonald has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve list and that defenseman Chris Dyment has been placed on the 3-day IR. To make room on the 3-day IR, defenseman Bret Nasby has been moved to the 7-day IR.

McDonald returns to the Everblades lineup after missing the past eight games because of an injury suffered in Florida's 5-2 loss to South Carolina on March 14. The 27-year-old has seen action in 39 games this season with the Everblades and has picked up 34 points (14g, 20a) and 62 penalty minutes. Now in his sixth season with the Everblades, the Olds, Alberta native became the all-time Everblades leader in games played on December 8 when he skated in his 289th career Everblades game. Overall McDonald has registered 218 points (96g, 122a) in 363 career games in the ECHL and AHL.

Dyment heads to the IR having tallied 17 points (7g, 10a) in 56 games with the Everblades this season. The 27-year-old began the season in the AHL with the Albany River Rats and has skated in seven total games with them this year. The Reading, Massachusetts native has spent the last four seasons in the AHL with Houston, Springfield and Providence, and has accumulated 42 points (17g, 25a) in 219 career games.

The Florida Everblades, proud affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers, return to the ice tonight when they take on the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 8:05 p.m. from the Pensacola Civic Center.
