Arizona Rattlers News Release
Phoenix, AZ â The Arizona Rattlers have announced that their May 6th game with the Chicago Rush will be "Hunkie Cooper Appreciation Night". The team will honor the AFL legend, who spent his 13-year career with the Rattlers.
The evening will feature tributes from special guests, a video montage honoring Cooper, gifts from the organization, and a special ceremony retiring his famous #14 in the rafters of America West Arena. The team will distribute Hunkie Cooper replica jerseys to the first 2,000 fans through the doors, and each seat will have a special commemorative placard of the event.
"This will be a great way to celebrate the 13 years that Hunkie gave to this team," said Vice President and General Manager Gene Nudo. "It's a great opportunity for our fans and the State of Arizona to show Hunkie how much he meant to this community during his career."
