
Houston Dynamo Midfielder Tony Cascio Undergoes Reconstructive Surgery for ACL Tear

HOUSTON (Wednesday, April 30, 2014) - Houston Dynamo midfielder Tony Cascio underwent reconstructive surgery today for a torn ACL in his right knee.
The surgery was performed by team physician Dr. Timothy Sitter at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. Cascio is expected to miss the remainder of the 2014 season.
Cascio, 24, appeared in five games (four starts) this season. The Gilbert, Ariz. native was acquired by the Dynamo on Jan. 21 on loan from the Colorado Rapids in the first intraleague loan in MLS history.
The University of Connecticut product has appeared in 47 games (26 starts) in three MLS seasons, scoring four goals and adding three assists.
