Houston Dynamo FC News Release
Two weeks after the Dynamo set a league record for a home unbeaten streak in all competitions (35 games), they can set another league record on Sunday. With a win or a draw, Houston can surpass Real Salt Lake's record 29-game regular season home unbeaten streak.
Sunday's game will begin at 4 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet Houston and UniMÃÆás (Spanish). It can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).
The Dynamo are tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with the Montreal Impact and a point behind conference leader Sporting Kansas City. The Rapids ended a two-game win streak with a 1-0 home loss to Seattle Sounders on Saturday.
Houston is 7-6-4 all-time against the Rapids. The clubs last met in Houston on May 4, 2011 and the Rapids earned a 2-1 win for their only win in the Bayou City after an 0-4-2 start. The Dynamo fell to the Rapids in their only meeting last season, a 2-0 defeat on the final day of the regular season. Dynamo forward Brian Ching has ten career goals against Colorado, including a four-goal performance in the inaugural Dynamo game in 2006.
