Bowling Green Hot Rods News Release
Bowling Green, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, will extend a unique savings opportunity to the team's fans based on the outcome of Kentucky Derby 136â¢. If Super Saver, the second- place finisher in the Arkansas Derby, wins Saturday's race, then fans can receive a free Summer Season Ticket package with the purchase of a Summer Season Ticket. The aptly named Super Saver, with 15-1 odds on the morning line, will be guided by jockey Calvin Borel, who won last year's Kentucky Derby aboard Mine That Bird.
"The Kentucky Derby is a special event in the Commonwealth," said Brad Taylor, Hot Rods General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. "It's a day that families and friends come together to celebrate. If Super Saver wins, Hot Rods fans will have an extra reason to celebrate."
The Hot Rods Summer Season Ticket is a 35-game package that includes a ticket to every Hot Rods home game from May 25 through August 1. For $325 per seat, Summer Season Ticket Holders will enjoy some of the season's best promotions including eight fireworks shows. If Super Saver wins the race, fans will have until Monday, May 10, 2010 to take advantage of the special offer.
The Hot Rods open a three-game home series with the Fort Wayne TinCaps (San Diego Padres) on Tuesday, May 4 at 6:35 PM. Tuesday is Coca-Cola Most Improved Student Night as the Hot Rods will recognize area students for their progress in the classroom prior to the game.
