Kane County Cougars News Release

GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Oakland Athletics, have announced that pitcher Jonathan Joseph has been activated from the disabled list, while pitcher A.J. Huttenlocker has taken Joseph's spot on the disabled list, retroactive to April 25, with a left shoulder injury. The current roster move maintains Kane County's active squad of 25 players as the team opens a seven-game road trip this evening in Cedar Rapids. Joseph is expected to follow starting pitcher Ian Krol in a tandem rotation against the Kernels.

Joseph (Non-drafted FA, 2006) was the Cougars' Opening Night starter on April 8 against Wisconsin, but was moved to the disabled list several days later. That evening, Joseph pitched three innings, yielding one run on three hits in his lone Cougars appearance. Huttenlocker (44th Rd, 2009) has pitched relief in six games this season, most recently on April 24 at Clinton. So far in 2010, Huttenlocker is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA.
