Hot Pelicans welcome Sports

The Pelicans welcome the Shreveport Sports to town for a three-game series to wrap-up this six-game home stand of the Pelicans.
This will be the second series between these two teams this season, the Pelicans swept the Sports 3-0 the first time back on May 19-21. Pensacola dominated Shreveport in all aspects of the three-game series, outscoring the Sports 20-4, outhitting .282 to .126, and a better team ERA of 0.00 to 5.00 that of the Sports.
Pensacola got their current winning streak going with their first win of the season at Shreveport on May 19. The victory vaulted the Pelicans to win their next five games including a sweep of the El Paso Diablos.
Shreveport jumped out to an early 3-1 lead in the division but have sense fallen off, losing eight of their last 10 games. Pensacola on the other hand started slow but are now the hottest team in the league, winning their last six games.
Four Pelicans are atop the league hitting leaders including the league top hitter, Tim Dron (.462), Trino Aguilar is not far behind (.452) and Jose Yepez and Juan Rocha are tied hitting is in the top ten hitting .353.
