Shreveport picked up three runs in the last two innings to come from behind and beat Pensacola, halting the Pelicans' six game winning streak. Relief pitcher Aaron Kirkland got the win for the Sports in two innings of work. Dan Freeman picked up the save. It was Freeman's second save of the season. RF Austin Easley led the Sports at the plate, going 3-for-4 and homering for the second time this year. Easley drove in three of Shreveport's five runs. Pensacola starting pitcher Clint Sadowsky pitched well in the losing cause, allowing only four hits and two runs over six innings.

Coastal Bend 9, El Paso 5

Coastal Bend scored early and often, getting three runs in the first inning and scoring all nine of its runs in the first five innings of the game en route to a 9-5 win over El Paso. Starting pitcher Tim McGough picked up the win for the Aviators, pitching six innings and allowing only three runs. SS Jaime Landon hit his first homerun of the season and led the Aviators at the plate with two hits and three RBI. Overall, the Coastal Bend pounded out 14 hits in the game. El Paso RF Carlos Sepulveda and 3B J.P. Schmidt both homered in the game and drove in two runs apiece.

Lincoln 5, Sioux Falls 0

Lincoln starting pitcher Jeff Blitstein scattered eight hits over nine innings to get the win and the complete game shutout over the Sioux Falls Canaries. Blitstein struck out seven en route to the victory. At the plate, the Saltdogs were led by 2B Josh Patton, who had three hits on the night. For the Canaries, three hitters had two hits in the game. 2B Ralph Santana and RF Chad Hermansen each went 2-for-4 and C Dennis Anderson went 2-for-3 in the losing cause.

Sioux City 4, St. Joe 3

Sioux City C Jorge Moreno's ninth inning three run homer was the difference for the Explorers as they get the 4-3 victory over St. Joe. The homerun was Moreno's fourth of the season and only hit of the night. Relief pitcher J.D. Scholten got the win after pitching a scoreless top of the ninth. St. Joe got ten hits in the losing effort and had four players get two hits in the game. 3B Ben Thomas went 2-for-4 and drove in a run to lead the Blacksnakes.

St. Paul 10, Fort Worth 3

Down 3-1 after six innings, St. Paul roared back to score nine runs in its final two at-bats to get the 10-3 victory over Fort Worth. SS Josh Renick and CF Robert Fishcer drove in three runs and combined for five hits in the game. Starting pitcher T.J. Stanton went seven innings and allowed only three runs to get his second win of the year. Relief pitcher Kevin Rival picked up the save for the Saints. Fort Worth 1B Jordan Foster homered and drove in a run for the Cats.
