ROBSTOWN, TEXAS - The Coastal Bend Aviators take Game One in the three game series against the El Paso Diablos.

The 9-5 victory was spearheaded by the pitching performance of Tim McGough (1-0). McGough went six innings surrendering four hits, five runs, of which only three were earned and four strikeouts. His first win of the season earned him the Defensive Player of the Game.

The offense was led by rookie shortstop Jaime Landin. Landin was two for three at the plate with three RBI's. His first homerun of the season in the bottom of the fifth inning accounted for all three runs batted in. Landin came into the ballgame leading the American Association in on-base percentage at .519. Jaime Landin earns Offensive Player of the Game.

Coastal Bend remains atop of the South Division in the league, improving to 10-5 on the season, and has the second best record overall.
