Home Run Frenzy Results in Sweep of Milkmen

OCONOMOWOC, WI. - The Lake Country DockHounds completed the sweep of the Milwaukee Milkmen 12-2 Thursday evening.

The scoring began in the second inning. Jake Snider singled and was driven in by Zion Pettigrew's sacrifice-fly.

Tristen Carranza singled to begin the fifth and was quickly scored from Lamar Briggs' homer. The score was then 3-0.

Correll Prime hit a home run in the sixth to score one of two runs for Milwaukee.

A string of six runs came across for Lake Country in the bottom of the sixth. Headlining the inning were a pair of home runs by Carranza and Zion Pettigrew. TJ Bennett plated Briggs, and Gio Brusa grounded into a fielder's choice to end the scoring frenzy. The DockHounds then led 9-1.

In the seventh frame, Lake Country blasted a pair of home runs again by Carranza and Pettigrew.

Bennett scored on a 4-3 putout from the bat of Brusa to make the score 12-1.

Finally, the Milkmen scored the final run in the top of the ninth from Will Kengor. It came off a solo homer to right field.

Alex McRae started on the mound and pitched five strong innings. He gave up no runs and fanned six batters. He would end the night with his second win this season.
