
Hollins Extends Hit Streak To Four Games In 4-0 Loss to Cubs

SOUTH BEND, IN - Bubba Hollins knocked a third-inning double to extend his hit streak to four games on Thursday, but that was one of just two hits for the Beloit Snappers (26-31) as they fell 4-0 to the South Bend Cubs (25-31).
The Snappers gave up a run in the second to Cubs catcher Jake Washer to give South Bend a 1-0 lead. The Cubs scored three more runs on a three-run home run by Jake Slaughter, his first of the season. Beloit collected just one more hit, an infield single from Connor Scott, and fell 4-0.
Beloit's Top Performers: Hollins doubled has doubled in back-to-back games. Andrew Nardi threw 2 1/3 perfect innings out of the bullpen.
The Snappers face South Bend Cubs again on Friday. Beloit is back at Pohlman Field for the final time on July 13-18th against the Quad Cities River Bandits before moving into ABC Supply Stadium downtown beginning August 3.
