FRESNO, Calif. âMost holidays are steeped in traditionâfireworks on the Fourth of July, candy on Halloween, and of course in Fresno, hockey on Presidents' Day! Join the Falcons this weekend at Selland Arena for a holiday weekend filled with hard-hitting hockey as the Bakersfield Condors and San Diego Gulls come to town on Sunday and Monday!
The first 1,000 fans through the doors for Sunday's 5pm start against the Condors will receive a Falcons "Old Time Hockey" poster, courtesy of Jostens. It's also a Valley Air District Family Day, and fans are encouraged to visit CentralValley.com and print off a coupon good for 6 balcony seats for only $28! Sunday also marks the Second Annual Mascot Broomball Battle during intermission, and fans can check out "Herbie the Love Bug" on the concourse that will be given away by Budget Car Sales and Rentals next Friday night.
The Falcons will take on the "Evil" Gulls on Monday at 1pm for the Presidents' Day Matinee game, and the first 1,000 children in the arena will get a free insulated lunch bag, courtesy of Chooljian Brothers. The Fresno Junior Falcons will take to the ice during intermission to show off their hockey skills for the crowd.
Don't miss your chance to meet some Falcons players at the Sprint Store on Blackstone and Shaw on Saturday February 15th, from 1-3pm! Falcons players will be available for autographs, and Sprint will have all of their latest phones on display. The Falcons return to the ice later in the week for some "Old Time Hockey" against the Gulls on Friday, February 21st, at 7:30pm, featuring an appearance by the world-famous Hanson Brothers of "Slap Shot" movie fame!
