Aces Introduce 'Lunch Box'

BOISE, Idaho – The Anchorage Aces will play host to a pre-series luncheon over the next four Fridays at Wayne's Texas BBQ at 36th & C in downtown Anchorage.

The first 50 people arriving for each of the lunches, which start next Friday, February 21, on the eve of a two-game set with the first-place Idaho Steelheads, will have the opportunity to hear both head coaches speak after they dine. The luncheons will run from 12:45-2:00 p.m. and are open to the media. The event will be limited to 50 members of the public with a nominal charge of $10 per person, which covers the actual lunch. Each member of the public will be eligible for door prizes to be given away at 2:00 after both coaches have spoken. In addition to the visiting coaches and Anchorage head man Rod Davidson, potential luncheon speakers include Dean Larson, Paul Williams, and East Coast Hockey League President Brian McKenna, who has tentatively planned a trip to Anchorage in early March. The Fox, 100.5 on the FM dial, will be promoting the event as a co-sponsor in conjunction with Wayne's, which will serve as host of the event on each of the following dates:

The Aces begin a three-game series in Boise against the Idaho Steelheads this evening at 5:00 p.m. AST. All games are broadcast live on KFQD 750 AM, with Jack Michaels calling the play-by-play. Coverage begins 20 minutes prior to the opening face-off, presented by GCI.
