Hogs, Rivs Rematch at BMO for Jersey Auction Night

Rockford, Ill. - Coming off of a 5-4 victory last night at the Carver Arena, the Rockford IceHogs will again look for triumph over the Peoria Rivermen as they rematch in an Illinois Lottery Cup showdown, this time at the BMO Harris Bank Center with the Hogs donning specialty "Abrahammy Lincoln" jerseys.

Puck drop is slated for 5:05 p.m. as the Hogs close out their final three-games-in-three-days of the season.

For the 14th time in Rockford IceHogs team history, the club will hold a live jersey auction out on the BMO Harris Bank Center ice following the contest. All proceeds from the jersey auction go to the IceHogs Charitable Foundation to benefit local charities.

The first 2,500 fans into the building for the game will receive a commemorative Abrahammy Lincoln coin, compliments of Lou Bachrodt. T-shirts featuring the Abrahammy Lincoln logo will also be sold in the team's store, Oink Outfitters, throughout the game.

During the game, one fan will be selected to participate in a promotion for a chance to win a 2013 1LT Camaro Convertible, thanks to Lou Bachrodt Automall. The Camaro has an estimated retail value of $35,040.

Each season, the IceHogs jersey auction features a special theme and this year's Abrahammy Lincoln jersey theme was created by Lincoln Middle School students, Madie Miller and Monica Bautista, whose design was selected after a contest was held in art classes at the school.

All fans are invited to stick around and participate after the game as prizes will be also given away in a free raffle throughout the auction for those in attendance. Some of the prizes include gift certificates, autographed team memorabilia, and much more!

Last night, the Hogs entered the third period trailing 4-3, however a power-play goal from rookie d-man Adam Clendening and a game-winning goal with 2:31 left in regulation from Rostislav Olesz gave the Hogs the 5-4 victory.

Olesz has been on a tear for Rockford since entering the lineup on March 22 at Abbotsford. In eight games, the winger has totaled 6g-5a-11pts. The Czech Republic native has potted a pair of goals in back-to-back games, including both game-winners Friday night at Milwaukee and Saturday night at Peoria.

Next Home Game: Friday, April 12 vs. Chicago Wolves at 7:05 p.m. It's Fan Appreciation Night as Rockford hosts the Chicago Wolves in an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup and for the final home game of the regular season. The first 2,500 fans through the turnstiles will pick up an IceHogs team photo and prizes will be handed out at every whistle.
