Gomez, in his 15th major league season and 3rd with the Orioles, batted .302 in 73 games this season. He played all 4 infield positions and started 40 games, with one home run and 16 RBI.

Parrish, a 25th round selection in 1996, has played all or part of 6 seasons with the Orioles. He was 2-2 with a 5.40 ERA in 45 games this season. He is 12-12 with a 4.52 ERA in 153 career games.

Boucher, the Mariners' 7th round pick in the 2004 First-Year Player Draft, is batting .298 in 28 games for AAA Tacoma this season. A left-handed hitter from Ottawa, Canada, he will be assigned to AAA Norfolk.

To take Gomez's and Parrish's spots on the 25-man roster, the Orioles have recalled RHP Jim Hoey and have selected the contract of OF Tike Redman, both from AAA Norfolk.

Hoey was 2-0 with 2 saves and a 1.33 ERA in 20 games for Norfolk after beginning the year at AA Bowie, where he was 1-0 with 14 saves and did not allow a run in 20 games. He appeared in one game during a brief stint with the orioles in June, allowing 3 runs in 0.2 IP. Hoey appeared in 12 games with the Orioles last year.

Redman has hit .300 with 2 home runs and 26 RBI in 79 games for Norfolk after beginning the year with York in the independent Atlantic League. He hit .277 with 15 homers in 5 seasons with Pittsburgh between 2000 and 2005.
