When former Clippers Mike Bacsik and Tim Redding gave up home runs to Barry Bonds the past two days they became the 38th & 39th Clippers pitchers to give up a long ball to the Giants slugger. Barry has hit 62 homers vs. Columbus pitchers. Hideo Nomo gave up four. Jim Deshaies, Dwight Gooden, Bob Tewksbury, Sterling Hitchcock and Ted Lilly have given up three homers apiece to Bonds.

Thirty-seven former Columbus pitchers gave up 84 home runs to Hank Aaron. The leading candidates were Harvey Haddix (8), Dave Roberts (6) and Steve Blass and Jim O'Toole with five.

Rick Reuschel is the only Clippers hurler to give up a home run to both men.

Tonight at The Coop, Shawn Hill will be making a rehab start for the Clippers. The gates open at 6 PM. There is a lot going on at the park today. The first 1,000 kids, 12-years-old and younger get a FREE 28" wooden baseball bat. Be sure to beat the heat with the food and beverage specials and enjoy the games in the Quencher Corner.
