Hockey Heritage Weekend TV Broadcast Available in over 69 Million Households

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced that the Friday, Feb. 7 Hockey Heritage Weekend presented by CCM game between the Stockton Thunder and Alaska Aces will be televised to over 69 million households nationwide.

The game will be available live on ONE World Sports, GCI in Alaska and Antenna TV (KTXL.2 - FOX40's Digital Channel) in Sacramento, Calif. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. AKT with face-off scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

It will be rebroadcast on Comcast Sportsnet California (Saturday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. PT) and on NHL Network in the United States (Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. ET).

The 2014 ECHL Hockey Heritage Weekend presented by CCM, begins on Friday, Feb. 7 with the Seventh Annual ECHL Hall of Fame Luncheon presented by BFL Canada to be held at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa at 12 Noon. The event continues with two specialty games sponsored by Sutton Special Risk on the nights of Feb. 7 and 8, as the Stockton Thunder take on the Alaska Aces with both teams wearing special jerseys celebrating their affiliations and hockey's development system. Both events begin at 7:15 p.m. AKST at Sullivan Arena and will feature historical displays straight from the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, including the Stanley Cup, several other of hockey's most prized trophies, artifacts celebrating the heritage of the game and interactive games for kids to enjoy.

Both the Stanley Cup and Kelly Cup will be available for a special viewing and a unique photo opportunity at the ECHL Hall of Fame Luncheon. The seventh class of the ECHL Hall of Fame includes James Edwards, Wes Goldie, Al MacIsaac and John Spoltore.
