Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - After coming off of an impressive 4-0 pre-season start, the Calgary Hitmen opened up the regular season in Swift current Friday night clinching the first win of the season.
The matchup proved to be a game of special teams with the clubs combing for 12 penalties. The first goal of the game came from Calgary's power play with Carson Wetsch scoring his first Western Hockey League goal, with helpers from Grayden Siepmann and Steel Quiring. The lone goal of the game wasn't answered until the second period when Luke Mistelbacher found the back of the net for Swift Current on a wraparound to tie the game.
