Warriors and Mosaic Partner on Goals for Food Program

Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
The Moose Jaw Warriors are excited to announce the Goals for Food program, a partnership with The Mosaic Company to battle food insecurity in Moose Jaw and surrounding area.
For every goal that the Warriors score at home during the 2022-23 season, Mosaic will donate $250 to food-focused charities, including Hunger In Action, Moose Jaw Food Bank, Wakamow Valley Authority and Riverside Mission.
"The Mosaic Company has always been a fantastic partner of ours and their commitment to working with local organizations to address food insecurity goes along way," Warriors director of business operations Jaret Schneider said.
Mosaic and the Warriors have partnered for the previous 11 seasons on the Points for Hunger program, which has raised thousands of dollars to ensure food security in the city.
"Mosaic's mission is to help the world grow the food it needs, and that starts right here at home," Sarah Fedorchuk, Mosaic's Vice President of Government and Public Affairs, North America, said. "It is critical to ensure that no one in our community is without a secure source of high-quality, nutritious food, and we're proud to support the organizations working toward that goal."
The Warriors will be going head-to-head with their Trans-Canada rivals, the Regina Pats, who have also partnered with Mosaic, to see who scores the most home goals this season.
"Outscoring the Regina Pats is something we always strive to do, now with The Mosaic Company's partnership doing it provides a more substantial impact in the community," Schneider added.
The Goals for Food Program opens on Saturday night when the Warriors host the Pats at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
