It's opening week!
The Portland Winterhawks return to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum ice this week, hosting the Tri-City Americans at their home opener on Saturday, October 1.
Please see the attached document for the weekly schedule and media availability time.
The Hawks won their season opener 3-0 last night in Kamloops and they play in Kelowna against the Rockets tonight at 7:05 p.m. before returning home.
All practices this coming week are open to the media and will be split between the Winterhawks Skating Center (Tuesday - Thursday) and Veterans Memorial Coliseum (Friday). All players and coaches can be made available for requests. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Also, the Winterhawks are hosting a FREE Fan Fest on Saturday, Oct. 1 night from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. prior to their home opener. Taking place on the Rose Quarter commons outside the VMC, fans can also enjoy a beer garden, food trucks, live entertainment, yard games, and more. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to welcome the Winterhawks players as they arrive to the arena around 3:15 p.m. for Saturday's matchup.
