Hitmen Shut Out In Swift Current

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen made their first trip outside Alberta this season stopping in Saskatchewan tonight to face the Swift Current Broncos.

Special teams leaned in favour of Swift Current tonight in a 3-0 victory over Calgary. Connor Hvidston scored twice for Swift Current on the power play in both the first and third periods. Clarke Caswell scored Swift Current's second goal during a 4-on-4 halfway through the second period.

Despite five power play opportunities and outshooting the home team 33-30, Calgary was unable to put one past Joey Rocha who secured his second career shutout.

Ethan Buenaventura made 27 saves in tonight's contest. Grayden Siepmann reached the milestone of 150 career games. Calgary now sits with a record of 0-3-0-0 on the season.

Calgary's next home game is Sunday, October 1 vs the Saskatoon Blades, marking the first Sunday Funday of the season.
