Hitmen rally from 5-2 deficit to force OT

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen had their four game winning streak snapped Saturday night dropping a 7-6 overtime decision to the Brandon Wheat Kings at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

Jay Fehr (fair) scored the game winner for the Wheat Kings on a power play at 49 seconds of extra time.

The Hitmen overcame deficits of 1-0, 5-2 and 6-5 to force the extra session as Paul Postma led the Calgary scoring attack with three points (2g 1a). Brandon Kozun, Ian Schultz, Kyle Bortis and Kris Foucault also scored for the Hitmen who tallied one shorthanded goal, but surrendered two.

With the overtime loss the Hitmen record is now 43-7-3-1. They lead the Eastern Conference with 90 points, but sit one point back of the Vancouver Giants for first overall.

Calgary returns to action Tuesday night to host the Edmonton Oil Kings. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
