May 2, 2018 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club will select fourth overall when the Western Hockey League holds its annual bantam draft on Thursday, May 3 in Red Deer, AB.
The pick was determined last month during the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft Lottery involving the six non-playoff teams from the 2017-18 regular season.
The remaining draft order is based on the inverse overall standings.
"Having five of the first 47 picks and eight in the first 71 selections sets us up really well in this draft," said Hitmen Director of Player Personnel Dallas Thompson. "It's a very deep draft in the early rounds and we are excited at the opportunity to add these WHL prospects to our team and watch their development."
