
Hitmen Host Annual TELUS be Brave #EndBullying Game

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen will be hosting the annual TELUS BE BRAVE #EndBullying game on Wednesday, February 22 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. This year, the Hitmen are excited to welcome back over 10,000 students and teachers to spread the message of acceptance and learn about bullying prevention. The Hitmen will play against the Winnipeg Ice at 11 a.m.
Guest speakers will include Tyler Smith, mental health advocate and motivational speaker, and Haley Daniels, Olympic athlete, pioneer, and advocate. Randy Chevrier and Rob Cote, TELUS Wise ambassadors, are amongst other special guests who will be in attendance.
"We are appreciative of the support and partnership that TELUS provides us for this game as we continue to influence the lives of our youth in a positive way," said Mike Moore, Vice President of the Calgary Hitmen. "We are excited to have the students back at the Saddledome and for the energy they bring to return to our building."
Teachers, students, their families, and all hockey fans are invited to join the Hitmen for the TELUS BE BRAVE #EndBullying game. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink in support of the campaign and in recognition of Pink Shirt Day.
