Prince Albert, SK - The Calgary Hitmen opened a four-game road trip with a 5-2 loss to the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday night at Art Hauser Centre.
Tied 2-2 heading to the third period, the Raiders struck for a trio of goals with their last into an empty net to seal the victory.
Claresholm, AB product Cale Sanders scored twice for the Raiders with singles from Tayem Gislason, Keaton Sorensen and Landon Kosier.
The Hitmen received their markers from Brandon Whynott, who notched his fifth of the season, and Blake Stevenson who tallied his 17th.
Prince Albert outshot the Hitmen 38-32 and snapped Calgary's two game road winning streak.
The Hitmen are right back on the ice tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 9 in Saskatoon before heading to Regina (Feb. 11) and Moose Jaw (Feb. 12).
Calgary will then open a four-game homestand on Wednesday, Feb. 16 in a rematch with the Warriors. Game time at Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on Tsuut'ina Nation is 7:00 p.m.
