Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Brandon, MB - The Brandon Wheat Kings in partnership with TELUS are proud to announce that Ridly Greig has been named the January Player of the Month
The Ottawa Senators first-round pick appeared in six games in January, scoring five times and adding five assists for a team leading ten points. He also finished the month with a +5 rating.
"Ridly brings it every day," said Head Coach Don MacGillivray. "He drags our team into the fight every night. Whether its his compete level, his ability to score goals or the way he can take over a game, he is a difference maker every time he steps on the ice."
This award is presented to the Wheat King, who best demonstrates success - both on and off the ice - as a teammate and role model in the community.
TELUS will present Ridly with this monthly award during the first intermission Friday's home game vs the Swift Current Broncos.
Tickets are limited, so act fast to guarentee your seat inside a 50% capacity Westoba Place.
