Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen skated to a 4-1 win over the Winnipeg ICE on Thursday at Scotiabank Saddledome.

It was the 4th annual TELUS BE BRAVE #EndBullying Game played in front of 13,172 fans including over 12,000 Calgary and area students. They learned about the importance of acceptance and bullying prevention from three guest speakers, concourse displays and in-game activities. Calgary Stampeders Alumnus and TELUS Wise Ambassador for the Stamp of a Champ program Rob Cote led the 'Viking Clap' prior to puck drop while Randy Chevrier, City of Calgary firefighter, three-time Grey Cup Champion and Dare to Care ambassador, explained the difference between conflict and bullying.

Kelcey Moore, 2020 Calgary Stampede Queen, spoke during the first intermission while Brigette Lacquette, the first Indigenous hockey player to be named to Canada's National Women's Team and 2018 Olympic silver medalist, addressed the crowd in the second intermission. All speakers were presented by A1 Chesney Service Experts.

Calgary product Kyle Olson led the Hitmen with two goals and an assist. He now has 13 points (8g, 5a) in eight games since joining the team in a trade with the Tri-City Americans.

Mark Kastelic and Carson Focht also found the back of the net for Calgary. Kastelic's marker was his 122nd career goal moving him into sole possession of third place on the clubs all-time goal scoring list. He trails only Brad Moran (204) and Pavel Brendl (172).

Calgary, winners of 12 of their last 16 games, outshot the ICE 39-27. Rookie goaltender Brayden Peters made 26 saves to record the win while Liam Hughes made 35 stops for Winnipeg.

The Hitmen, 34-19-4-1, are back on home ice tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 28 against the Brandon Wheat Kings. It's One Ticket, One Tree. For each game day and group ticket sold to Friday's contest, the Hitmen will plant a tree for reforestation projects in the province. Last year, the Hitmen in partnership with Tree Canada, planted more than 2,500 trees in Alberta. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Saddledome.
