PERSONAL BEST: OF Matt Lipka's three stolen bases last night set a new career-high for the fourth-year pro...A former All-State wide receiver in Texas, Lipka drafted out of high school as a shortstop...His average arm strength but plus-plus speed motivated a move to centerfield prior to the 2012 season...He has stolen 87 bases in his career, but never more than two in a single game...2013 is his third season with 20 or more steals...He was limited to just 51 games in 2012 due to a hamstring injury...At 26 swipes this year, he is two shy of his career-best for a single season, as he stole 28 bases with Low-A Rome in 2011...

TONIGHT'S OPPOSING PITCHER: RHP Myles Jaye was acquired via trade with the Toronto Blue Jays prior to the 2012 season in a deal that sent big league pitcher Jason Frasor to Toronto...The Blue Jays originally drafted Jaye in the 17th round in 2010 out of Starr Mills High School (GA)...Signed late, and did not make his professional debut until 2011 with Bluefield in the Rookie Appalachian League...Went 3-3 with a 3.00 ERA in 13 games, nine starts...Reported to Low-A Kannapolis in 2012 after joining the White Sox (4-7, 6.04)...Made 17 starts for the Intimidators...Repeated in Kannapolis this year, but was promoted in May after going 4-1 with a 2.20 ERA in seven starts...Tonight is his ninth Hi-A start and third against the Hillcats...He was 3-0 in his first four starts despite an ERA over 4.00...He is 1-1 with a 6.06 ERA against the Hillcats in three starts...Pitches better on the road with a 3.88 ERA as opposed to a 5.40 ERA at home...In his only start at Lynchburg City Stadium he gave up one unearned run over six innings...He gave up six hits, walked no one, and struck out four earning the win...
