Lynchburg Hillcats News Release

Lynchburg, VA- The Hillcats pitchers limited the Nationals to just one extra-base hit Thursday, but 11 singles and six stolen bases propelled Potomac to a 5-1 win over Lynchburg.

Cutter Dykstra led off the game with a single. He stole second and third, before a single by Destin Hood scored him to put the Nationals ahead 1-0.

Two more runs scored for the Nationals in the second. Three hits, including a leadoff double by Zach Walters, scored two runs, and Potomac went up 3-0.

The Nationals scored one more run off of Hillcats starter Matt Crim (2-8) in the sixth inning. Sandy Leon singled home Brian Peacock after Peacock stole second base, putting the Nationals ahead 4-0.
