
High School Musical Star Comes To Peoria

PEORIA, Ill. (March 23, 2009) - Olesya Rulin, best known for her role as Kelsi Neilson of the High School Musical franchise, will be at the Peoria Rivermen game on March 28 to sign free autographs for fans. It's all part of a big weekend at Carver Arena featuring two post-game concerts from Jimmy Wayne and Hello Industry.
Rulin's appearance is presented by Arby's in association with Comcast, the Peoria Journal Star E-Z Pay program, and 104.9 The Wolf - #1 For New Country. She will sign autographs for fans from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with the game against the Houston Aeros beginning at 7 p.m. Autographs will be free and pictures 8x10 inch photos to have signed will be available for $5 each.
In addition to her role in the three High School Musical movies, her other credits include the Disney Channel Original Movies Halloweentown High, The Poof Point and Hounded, the television series Everwood and the feature films Forever Strong, Mobsters and Mormons and The Dance. Rulin is starred alongside Jessica Simpson in Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous and will be starring with Billy Ray Cyrus in the drama Flying By, which has yet to be released.
Following the game on Saturday, the band Hello Industry will perform as part of Church Night with the Rivermen courtesy of 91.5 WCIC - Family Friendly Radio.
The weekend kicks off on Friday night when the Rivermen battle the first-place Milwaukee Admirals at 7 p.m. Immediately after the game, stick around as U.S. Army and 97.3 River Country present a performance from country music sensation Jimmy Wayne.
