Iowa Cubs News Release
The Iowa Cubs have released outfielder Angel Echevarria and signed outfielder Trenidad Hubbard. Hubbard was the 2004 Iowa Cubs MVP after hitting .330 with nine home runs and 36 stolen bases. His 156 hits led the team. Echevarria was released after batting .157 with one home run in 18 games. Hubbard is expected to be in uniform tonight. He was released by the Round Rock Express after batting .224 in 17 games.
