The BEARS won for the third time in as many tries over Bridgeport in 2005-06, winning 4-1 at GIANT Center Saturday night.

Lawrence Nycholat opened the scoring with his fourth goal of the season at 10:02 of the first period. Graham Mink picked up his team leading 16th of the season early in the second to give HERSHEY a 2-0 lead. Steve Regier then scored what turned out to be the only goal of the night for the Sound Tigers just 58 seconds into the third period to cut the lead to 2-1, but the BEARS would round out the scoring with two more in the third period. Boyd Kane picked up his seventh of the year at 17:41, followed by the first goal of the season for Owen Fussey into an empty net at 18:39. The BEARS earned the club's 17th win of the season against just four regulation losses in 2005-06, and kept pace with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton who won at home over Manitoba. Frederic Cassivi won his 12th game of the season, making 24 saves.

The BEARS will play the second game of the current four-game homestand Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. against Bridgeport before hosting Hamilton and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton next weekend. Tickets for the rest of the homestand are available by calling (717) 508-BEAR or by visiting the GIANT Center box office.
