Herrington Traded to Cincinnati for Galbraith

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots, under the new ownership group of Hockey Enterprises of Pensacola L.L.C. with owner Tim Kerr, announced that forward Jamie Herrington has been traded to Cincinnati for forward Jade Galbraith and forward Evgeni Artukhin has been called up to the Hershey Bears on the AHL.

Galbraith, who stands 5'11"and weighs 210 pounds, played in 24 games with Cincinnati this season scoring 7 goals, 14 assists for 21 points and picked up 43 penalty minutes. He also played in 16 games for Dayton this year scoring 3 goals, 5 assists for 8 points and picked up 33 penalty minutes and played in 4 games for Florence this season scoring 1 goal, 2 assists for 3 points and picked up 2 penalty minutes.

Galbraith played for Atlantic City last year playing in 69 regular season games scoring 27 goals, 47 assists for 74 points and picked up 70 penalty minutes and played in 15 playoff games scoring 2 goals, 5 assists for 7 points and picked up 8 penalty minutes helping Atlantic City win the Kelly Cup Championship. He also played for the University of Alaska-Anchorage and Saskatoon in the WHL. Galbraith is 21 years old from Hinton, Alberta.

Artukhin has played in 6 games with the Ice Pilots this season scoring one goal and picking up 14 penalty minutes and has played in 26 games for Hershey this year scoring 2 goals, 2 assists for 4 points and picked up 59 penalty minutes.

Herrington has played in 30 games for the Ice Pilots this year scoring 4 goals, 11 assists for 15 points and picked up 12 penalty minutes.

The Ice Pilots will be hosting a "Town Hall Meeting" for their fans with owner Tim Kerr today at the Civic Center from 4:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. before their home game vs. the Greensboro Generals at 7:05 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to ask owner Tim Kerr quest ions on any subject concerning the Ice Pilots organization.

The "Town Hall Meeting" will take place in front of the Civic Center on the second floor in rooms C1, C2 and C3.

The Ice Pilots will play home games tonight at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 5:05 p.m. vs. the Greensboro Generals. Tonight is Church Night. Church groups can get discounted tickets by calling the Ice Pilots at 432-PUCK. Sunday is Kids Day and Gun's N' Hoses Night honoring the police and fire departments. Fans can purchase 4 tickets, 4 hotdogs and 4 drinks for $44 or buy an adult ticket and get a kid's ticket half off by calling 432-PUCK.

Activities for the kids on Sunday are face painting, balloon art, tour fire trucks and ambulances, plus meet Ronald McDonald.
