Hernandez Heads To Philadelphia; Durbin Added To Lynx Roster

OTTAWA - Reliever Yoel Hernandez got the call every Minor Leaguer waits for. The 27-year-old righthander was called up by the Philadelphia Phillies, who put closer Tom Gordon on the 15-day disabled list. Pitcher J.D. Durbin takes Hernandez's spot on the Lynx roster.

Hernandez was 1-0 with a 3.68 ERA and three saves in seven appearances out of the Lynx bullpen this season. His three saves are tied for the team lead and tied for eighth in the International League.

Durbin, 24, spent last season with the Rochester Red Wings of the International League. He was 4-3 with a 2.33 ERA in 16 starts for the Wings. He made one appearance this season for the Arizona Diamondbacks, allowing seven runs in 0.2 innings pitched. Durbin was claimed by the Phillies off waivers from the Red Sox April 13th.
