Altoona Curve News Release
ALTOONA - Continued heavy rains associated with Tropical Storm Ernesto forced the postponement of Saturday's doubleheader between the Curve and Bowie Baysox (AA/Baltimore Orioles) at Blair County Ballpark. Friday's scheduled series opener between the two clubs was also postponed.
The Curve and Baysox will now play a doubleheader Sunday night at 5:05 PM with ballpark gates to open at 4:00 (3:50 Curve Season Ticket Holders). Saturday's scheduled "Curve Retro Celebrity Series" appearance by Jimmie Walker ("J.J." from Good Times) will now take place throughout Sunday's doubleheader. Sunday's previously scheduled post-game fireworks show and "Kids Run the Bases" promotion will take place as scheduled.
Fans holding tickets for either Friday or Saturday's postponed games can use their rain checks as vouchers for seats to any remaining 2006 Curve regular season game, or for Curve games at Blair County Ballpark in April and May 2007. In addition, Curve fans can also redeem their unused tickets from each rain date as vouchers for any 2006 Altoona Curve Eastern League playoff game. The Curve will host Games 3 and 4 of the E.L. Southern Division First Round Playoff Series on Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9.
All ticket exchanges are for seats of equal or lesser value and are based on seating availability. Fans can exchange tickets by visiting the Curve Ticket Office at Blair County Ballpark or by calling (877) 99-CURVE.
