
Hawks Rally Falls Short in Moose Jaw, Lose 5-4

Portland Winterhawks News Release
Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan - The Portland Winter Hawks scored three third period goals, two by Brad Ross, but fell one goal shy as they lose to the Moose Jaw Warriors by a score of 5-4 on Saturday night at the Civic Centre in Moose Jaw.
Killian Hutt would get his first career WHL goal for Portland on the power play, and he picked up an assist for a two point night. Radim Valchar would get the other goal for the Hawks. Ross' first goal for the Hawks was a power play marker.
Moose Jaw got goals from five different scorers, Brian Sommers, Riley Grantham, Quinton Howden, Ryan Stanton and Brayden Metz. Howden added an assist for a two point night. Grantham's goal was short-handed while Howden's goal came on the power play.
Kurtis Mucha stopped 29 of 34 shots in net for Portland while Deven Dubyk stopped 20 of 24 for the Warriors.
Portland finished 2 for 10 on the power play while Moose Jaw went 1 for 3.
Next up for the Hawks, they will travel to take on the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday night, game time is 6:30 PM Pacific time with the pre-game show starting at 6:10 on AM 1550 KKAD.
