Portland Winterhawks News Release

Throughout the 2023-24 season, Winterhawks.com will feature monthly recaps of the organization's efforts to connect with and support the greater Portland community, as well as a look ahead at what's to come. Hockey is officially here, and we're proud to be a year-round staple of the Rose City and can't wait to see you all at an upcoming event!

Jackson Street Youth Services- Rink visit and tour of the VMC

We got to hang out with our friends at Jackson Street again, this time with a different group of kids! Five Jackson Street youth came to the rink for a tour and to watch practice! This opportunity allowed the students to see their favorite players and learn about what it's like to work in the sports industry. Thank you to the youth and staff at Jackson Street for visiting. We appreciate our partnership so much!

Trail Blazers Career Fair

We partnered with our neighbors at the Portland Trail Blazers to participate in their annual career fair. Surrounded by all of our local sports teams, organizations and groups, the Winterhawks staff had the opportunity to talk to eager college kids who want to work in the sports industry. We are always thrilled to meet the next generation and give them information to jumpstart their careers. Thank you to the Portland Trail Blazers for hosting us!

Read Across America Day- March 4th

On March 4th, our 20s headed to Walnut Grove Elementary to participate in the worldwide Read Across America Day. James, Jack, and Gabe each had the opportunity to read in a classroom and spend time in the community. We are so grateful to be a part of this event and to be able to make a positive impact on the lives around us.

Thank you to Oak Grove Elementary for being amazing hosts!
