Hawk Nelson To Perform At Chukchansi Park

Fresno, CA - For the second year in a row, the Fresno Grizzlies have teamed up with Third Coast Sports to welcome a nationally recognized Christian rock band to Chukchansi Park. This year's event, scheduled for Monday, August 20th, will feature renowned Christian rockers Hawk Nelson. As part of their Faith & Family Night, the Grizzlies will also host special guests The Send, who open the pregame concert at 5:30. Hawk Nelson will then take the stage, leading up to first pitch of the Grizzlies game against the Salt Lake Bees at 7:05. The festivities will also include appearances by the popular Veggie Tales characters. Gates will open early on the evening of the 20th, as fans can enter the ballpark at 4:00.

Hawk Nelson will be wrapping up their national tour, headlining 32 other minor league dates. This powerhouse, punk foursome hailing from Canada has rocketed to the top of Christian radio charts with hit singles from their sophomore album Smile, It's The End Of The World including "Everything You Ever Wanted" and "Zero." The high-energy band has appeared on NBC's "American Dreams" and had their songs featured on NBC's Stanley Cup promo spots, WB's Smallville and Summerland as well as MTV's Laguna Beach.

‘Faith Days' were acclaimed worldwide in 2007, garnering over 100 million media impressions on four continents including the cover of The New York Times, NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News, CNN, Fox News Channel and ESPN.
