The New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the visiting Round Rock Express by a score of 9-3 on Friday.

Fernando Tatis launched his 18th home run of the year, a two run blast to lead the Zephyrs offensively.

Right fielder Ricky Ledee, center fielder Chad Hermansen and catch Mike DiFelice all drove in two runs as well in the victory.

Zephyrs starting pitcher Dave Williams (2-1) gets the win after shutting out the Express in six innings of play. Williams gave up only four hits before exiting the game.

Express starter Chad Reineke (5-5) gets the loss for Round Rock after giving up two runs on three hits in four innings of play.

The win gives the Zephyrs a 1-0 start to the four-game divisional series in New Orleans. The teams will play again on Saturday in a game scheduled for 6:00 PM CT. The game will be televised live on CST and will feature a post-game fireworks show, as well as Zephyrs players and coaches wearing special jerseys colored in the purple and gold of the LSU Tigers. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Desire NOLA Foundation.
