Metairie, LA - The New Orleans Zephyrs players and coaches will wear special jerseys colored with the purple and gold of the LSU Tigers during their game on Saturday at 6:00 PM against the Round Rock Express.
The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game, with proceeds benefiting the Desire NOLA Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization that provides grants and business development assistance to locally owned businesses that embody the unique culture and ambience of New Orleans.
As part of the night honoring the LSU Tigers, LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri will be at the game and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The Zephyrs will also have a special Saturday post-game fireworks show to commemorate the event.
